Yoda and Blister Card (Blue)

Yoda has long been one of the rarest figures to come out of Hungary but when compared to the blister card it's downright common. Over the years only a handful of these cardbacks have made it into collections. At the time of this article this is only the fourth to have been documented and no carded have yet seen the light of day.

There are two noteworthy differences between this one and the previously documented one. The first of these differences is obviously the color, the previous one was black whereas this one is blue. The keen eye will also notice that the previous one looks to have had the bubble glued on while this one was stapled, much like the Darth Vader with blister card featured on The Archive. The tape in all 4 corners also matches the Vader blister card which makes me think at one time these may have belonged to the same Hungarian child or collector.

I think it's such a treat to see rare pieces like this still turning up. One of the main lures of collecting booltegs is never knowing what will turn up next.
