I live in Paris, France and I am 26 years old. I graduated in 1995 from a computer engineering school and I worked two years in New York as an IS Manager for a French Bank's representative office. Now I'm back in Paris where I work as a "computer connectivity software" engineer in a famous French Bank.
I started collecting Star Wars toys in 1978 when I was a kid and I continued to get toys until mid-1985. At that point, I had nothing particularly uncommon except the Palitoy Death Star, boxed, which I still have. In 1996, with the new collection growing, I realized that there was still a market for vintage toys and I decided to finish my collection. I now have the complete set of loose figures, a quarter of them carded on different kinds of cards, and 80% of the vehicles and playsets, boxed.
I am now trying to get the complete vintage collection, and
in addition to vintage toys, I focus on collecting vintage carded
figures, while trying to obtain all kinds of cardback variations.
I also collect miscellaneous vintage stuff (lobby cards, badges,
magazines...), new Cinema Scenes, and regular and in-box catalogs.
For the moment, my most wanted collectible is the Imperial Shuttle.
I am scanning all the cards, cardbacks, catalogs, documents and
Kenner toy instruction sheets that I own in order to publish them
on my web site at:

Regarding the Meccano documents featured on the Star Wars Collectors Archive, my collection came in an interesting way: I had kept all the magazines that I received each week as a child. As is the case with most magazines for children, there were many toy advertisements in these publications, and in the 1980s, there were a lot of....Star Wars toy related advertisements. So, when I realized that Meccano French documents were very rare, I just re-opened these old books and proceeded to track down all the Star Wars ads that I could find in order to publish them on my site. As the Star Wars Collectors Archive is THE vintage Star Wars collecting reference on the 'net, I decided to publish them all as a group on this site, so that every vintage fan could enjoy them...
