Micro Collection Hoth Turret Defense Cromalin (No Offer) | |
Kenner released a myriad of Micro Collection playsets fitting into three distinct themes. Four different playsets comprised the Hoth theme including the Ion Cannon, Wampa Cave, Generator Attack, and Turret Defense.
The packaging prototype detailed in this entry for the Micro Collection Hoth Turret Defense playset is referred to as a cromalin.
Red notations reside along the cromalin's upper left margin mentioning the Millenium Falcon leading Josh to believe it may have played some role in this release, which is discussed further below.
Josh astutely noted the "Build Your Armies" offer absence and believes the cromalin represents a new design for the 1983 release given that the final approval was dated 7/19/82 and the playset was already being offered at retailers. Additionally this approval post-dates similar production cromalins that were created nearly a year prior (1981). |
