Boba Fett 4-up Paint Master (460-014) (Dark Paint Scheme)
This hand painted Micro Collection Boba Fett prototype from the Bespin Freeze Chamber playset is referred to as a hardcopy. All Micro Collection figures were sculpted at a 4:1 ratio, meaning the hardcopies are four times larger than their production counterparts, thus the reason collectors refer to them simply as 4-up's. Given Fett's populartity with collectors and Star Wars fans, it's difficult to surpass the desireability of a prototype like this in terms of Kenner's Micro Collection.

The second photo shows the rear side of the 4-up. As one may have noticed from the entry title, the colors used to paint this 4-up are much darker than the other painted example seen here. The other painted 4-up example, which surfaced from the infamous find brokered by The Earth Collectible Toy Mall years ago, matches the color shade scheme ultimately chosen for the production figure. Interstingly enough, the 4-up in James' collection closely resembles a hand painted 1:1 prototype that surfaced many, many years ago from an entirely different source. That 1:1 is also available for viewing here on the SWCA.

The base photo shows that small casting voids have been neatly filled. The green colored dynacast (the particular urethane from which this 4-up is made) is also readily visible in this image. James also owns a stunning "test paint" 1:1 prototype for Boba Fett, which compliments the painted 4-up quite nicely.
