Gaff Blister Card Cromalin | |
Whoa! This is one of the few examples of the Gaff blister card format that I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. As you can see, the insect-like Gaff is molesting poor C-3PO, who is so distraught that he's sunk to his metal knees to beg for mercy. The piece is a cromalin, meaning it's from an earlier phase in the production process than is a typical proof card. Cromalins are printed on a plastic-like material with a tremendous amount of detail. The original art for this piece can be seen here.
This cromalin is actually part of a partially-cut sheet. It's connected to an equally-cool representation of the Mungo Baobab card artwork. |
