Description:
I don't care what anyone says, there isn't a person alive who can explain what the Vehicle Maintenance Energizer was supposed to do. It had the most unweildy title in Kenner's Star Wars line, as well as the most vague purpose. It looked basically like an over-sized cuisinart. Worse still, it came with these weird rubber hoses and 8 "tools." What these "tools" were supposed to do, I cannot even begin to fathom.
Still, it looked reasonably at home within the Star Wars universe, and it's small size meant that it had a pretty low price point. Having debuted in 1982 along with the Tri-Pod and Radar Laser Cannons, it survived into the Return of the Jedi line.
First Issued: 1982 (ESB packaging)
