Description:
Who didn't love Kenner's Slave 1 toy? It was such a cool looking vehicle, and it belonged to Boba Fett! Although it had no electronic features, the Slave 1 came packed with nifty features, all of which are mentioned in the above-quoted catalog description. But its neatest feature had to be the black plastic "figure" made in emulation of the carbonite-encased Han Solo first seen at the end of The Empire Strikes Back. Many collectors consider this a legitimate part of the standard action figure line.

First issued in 1981, Slave 1 was also available during 1982 and part of 1983. In 1981 and 1982, Kenner made a "Special Offer" version of the toy available to its larger clients. It came with an attractive display backdrop and its box featured a yellow sticker on its exterior. Hasbro re-used the vintage toy's tooling for their late '90s release of the vehicle. Its advanced deco scheme and silver-colored Han figure makes it easily distinguishable from its vintage counterpart.

First Issued: 1981 (ESB packaging)
Re-issues:1981 & 1982 (ESB packaging, with backdrop and Special Offer sticker)
