With his movable legs, you can make him chase GAMORREAN GUARDS. And when you press one of the scales on his back, the RANCOR MONSTER opens his terrifying mouth. His spring-loaded arms can hold an Action Figure or viciously knock them down. Action Figures sold separately. Ages 4 and up.

Description:
The Rancor was just a downright cool toy. Not only was its sculpting dead-on, meaning that it resembled the model seen in the film to a high degree, it was suitably humongous-- as the above catalog description states, it towered over all of the standard-size Star Wars action figures. And its working jaw meant that it was capable of literally swallowing smaller action figures. Trust me, more than a few Jawa figures were lost down the gullet of this plastic behemouth.
The Rancor isn't terribly difficult to find, but it's always been popular. In the late 1990s, Hasbro issued a new improved Rancor toy. It differed from the vintage one in several details, such as its rubbery "skin."
