Description:
Released in 1982 along with the CAP-2, the INT-4 (short for "interceptor") was yet another weird looking mini-rig. I'm not sure what the function of the thing was supposed to be. The look of its central portion was reminiscent of the larger AT-AT and Scout Walker vehicles. But it had wings on its sides. I think it was envisioned as an attack vehicle for deployment from the AT-AT, as the box shows it inside of the larger toy and the above catalog description mentions that it was capable of being placed inside of it.

As were most of the early mini-rigs, the INT-4 was available in a few different types of packages. Most notable of the ESB versions was the "Special Offer" edition of the toy, which came with a free AT-AT Commander figure and a bright yellow sticker on the reverse of its box. The ESB INT-4 can also be found with a $1.00 rebate printed on its box. Then, in 1983, the toy was re-issued in a Return of the Jedi box. It was cancelled thereafter.

First Issued: 1982 (ESB packaging)
Re-issues: 1982 (ESB packaging, with Special Offer sticker and AT-AT Commander); 1982 (ESB packaging, with $1 printed rebate); 1983 (ROTJ packaging)
