This thread goes out to mostly everyone in Canada- who I have recently offended-

To Mike: I hope this whole matter has been a learning experience(I'm not exactly talking about learn not to deal with Adam Lovera) , but learning how to spot a recard/reseal/non-MOC/non- Factory sealed piece from digital pictures- several of the members here were able to spot it, but for some reason you or Randy were not able to. Yes, your out $15-20 in shipping fees ....... but consider it a lesson learned.

To Randy: man, really I did not intend for you to have won that Ebay auction... but you did. At that point, I should have been up front with you about the bubble area... and for you to speak with Mike about it(since he saw it previous to you) - however I believe somewhere along the way right after you won the auction, I said that Mike origionally bought it from me..... and suspected it to have been tampered with. THEN, at C3...... in meeting you..... I thought to myself... OHHHHHHH, NO....... I'm selling this Greedo to this guy...... not good :(

In the end, though, you will be taken care of... and wont be out any money.... since it sounds as though you did let it go to Jim for $80(so your currently out about $45). Many apologies Randy.

To Jim: I'm not exactly sure "why" you ended up buying this piece from Randy.... but more power to you, and I hope it gives you much fortune in the future....

To Dave: that Bespin Leia was/is a nice piece , and like I said thats the way I recieved her with the price tag in that spot from a seller on Ebay. If you still have it, and are unhappy with it...... I'd consider having the piece back in my collection- as I do not have a carded Leia Bespin currently.

To Will... the one person not from Canada !

I did say- and stand behind what I said here:
"The Luke Farmboy origionaly had a larger Toys R US price sticker on it.... that I removed when I first recieved the package. Then underneath that sticker was that K-Mart sticker... not sure how that one got there ! Some old lady had it here in the States..... , and that is the way that I bought it from her. If the sticker tear is that bad.... I'd just get another price sticker(big enough) , and place it over the area.... and the damage would be masked. When I said C-9..C9+ on that piece......, I was speaking in terms of what the package (in my eyes) .. is . If the price sticker is on it.. covering that area... its C-9+... and no one would question its authenticity. Just an idea if you Ever needed to sell it.... or send it to AFA."

.... however, I was not implying that you will sell it, or that you should sell it. If the price sticker tear is that bad of an eye sore , you can return the item to me..... and I can refund your money. I forget how much that was , $150 or so. If its worth wild for you to do so... dont hesitate to send it back. Also, just because I suggested that IF the ripped area is "that bad" put another price sticker over it .......... it is in no connection to myself putting a price sticker on that/ or Dave's Leia cardback to cover a ripped area. I do have a 20-back Power Droid... that has a little ripped area on the bottom edge, from myself removing the origional price sticker... but got 1/2 way off with the sticker... and just left it hanging on the card(its still covering the small tear on the card).

I hope you were/are happy with the other three carded figures I sold you at that time ... :?

If there is anything else I can do to be of any kind of service to any of you above... please let me know. Maybe it would be best for the Canadian Greedo to come back home to me ???

Again... my apologies to all- from the bottom of my heart. I know this will not perminately mend ALL woonds that I have caused , but I have to start somewhere.

~Adam

Adam,

I still think you are missing the point of why people are upset, and we are upset BTW, which is very different from offended. It's not the sticker tear I'm disappointed with, its the fact that it was covered up. Hell I probably would still have bought the figure with the tear had it been visable and untampered with. I don't want a refund, I just want you to admit that you attempted to make it a more valuable figure, promise that you won't do it again, and we can all move on.

I was very happy with the other figures I purchased, and I have no doubt that we could fill a thread with buyers who were extrememly happy with their dealings with you over the years. Which makes covering up a couple of tears or using tricky language in an auction that much harder to understand. Was all this really worth the few extra bucks it got you? I think you have built up a lot af credit with the community over the last few years and I'm not ready to put you in the same category as someone like Decade Toys, but I just need to hear you take some responsibilty for your actions.

Thats it mate, plain and simple.

Adam,

I will not accept your apology. As stated before I'm out considerably more than $15-$20. A refund from you will not earn an apology from me. You were very deceptive in your original wording and you gave me a weak explanation about the bubble not lining up when I originally questioned the seal. Who are you to give me lessons? You have quite the superioriority complex. I don't call it a lesson learned, I call it fraud.

What I've learned is that I will never, ever trust you again, and unfortunately I will find it harder to buy items sight unseen from any community member here, trusting the seller's word on condition.

I started out thinking that this Greedo was an isolated instance, but from the I/M's and P/M's that I've received, and posts made in the thread, it seems I'm not alone.

Will,

I see what your saying. I dont think I EVER sent you pictures of the Luke 21-back prior to me selling it to you- I just gave you a written description of its condition(even with the rip area, I'd still call it about C9, possibly low C9, ... some may say its only a C8). That K-Mart price tag was origionally on that piece when I bought it from a lady on Ebay - what caused the tear under that tag is another story all together, that I have no clue on .

~Adam

PS..... I'm slowly getting out of vintage carded-MOC-Factory sealed items(something Chris G. told me to do several months ago ;) ) , so I'll do my best to describe condition- to the best of my ability- but I have absolutely NO carded with a ripped price tag(minus the Power Droid 20-back... but that is also missing the POP). I do have a Stormtrooper 20-back that I am holding on to, that I'm working the price-tag off as we speak- it may cause some small paper rips, but it will still display good enough for me.

Adam, I might take you up on that offer. Ask Jim; I was pissed when I discovered the fraud. (The sticker damage was from a smaller sticker and the glue appeared to be white glue, which does not come off with conventional solvents used to remove price tags-- I'm curious if the Luke figure fits the same description...)

I find it funny how many fakes are passing into your hands without you noticing them. Any collector worth his salt would have spotted one or two of these, and known better than to flip them without disclosing the doctoring.

That coupled with you telling Mike that your deception should be his learning lesson is insulting. Maybe dealing with you isn’t the best thing to do. Not for the fakes, but for your inability to show your customers the respect they deserve. Adam, reputation is all we have in this community. Try to remember that with your replies, lest you find yourself with forum members sabotaging your auctions like Shawn’s so often are…

Lastly, the comment about how you didn’t wish this Greedo upon Randy when you posted it on eBay, and how you felt guilty at C3 when you met him should have been enough for you to address the issue to his face. …and if you felt bad about it going into the collection of someone on these boards, then you shouldn't sell it to anyone at all.

Your comments are still very sarcastic. The only lesson to be learned is not to do a deal with you. You have screwed a few people over the last couple of years. My guess is that these are not the only ones.
Your words as well as actions(covering up rips) really sound like another past scum member from Texas named Shaun. Here's some smileys for you
>:( :sad :/ :crazy ;) :O

How the hell can anything with a rip be considered a C9, even if it's a "low C9"? This is a prime example of why so many buyers/collectors are moving to AFA pieces when making online purchases.
