| This large Christmas card and envelope from 1977 was created by Jim Rumph. As you might be aware, Jim is famous for creating the Chewbacca, Vader, and Obi-Wan mugs for California Originals along with a large number of ceramic items (mugs, bongs, etc.) based on his unique style. For Christmas 1977, he created a Star Wars themed envelope with Chewbacca, C-3PO, Obi-Wan, and R2-D2 as the three (four?) kings arriving at Bethlehem along with a Close Encounters themed card. Rumph sent these cards to celebrities and industry leaders at the time but these cards are extremely difficult to find today. |
