| Produced by Durham, the Star Beam was an unlicensed lightsaber product known to have been available by early 1978. The light that illuminated the blade varied: green, red, and white versions were sold.
Some known packaged examples feature a graphical hang card depicting a child reminiscent of Luke in his Tatooine outfit. Another known packaging variant consists of a slip-on card depicting Luke in his Bespin garb (or something like it, anyway). The latter piece of packaging bears a date of 1983, suggesting the product was available into the Return of the Jedi era. For more information, see here. |
