| This is the Gamorrean Guard action figure on ROTJ Meccano 65-backs release which counts 17 figures. Notice the misspelled name on nameplate "Gammorean" instead of "Gamorrean". Although Meccano 65-backs backing cards (cardbacks – without bubbles attached) are not that rare, carded figures and very scarce to find. First because they were released during a few months late 1983 for the movie release in theaters, and prior to the following Trilogo European line from 1984. Second because that series is known for having been packed with very poor heat sealing at the factory back in 1983, hence the tape (factory applied) which is often found on top and bottom of bubbles. Finding a Gamorrean Guard carded with bubble still firmly attached is even more special because of the poor seal and the heavy weight of the action figure. |
