| Hoth Stormtrooper 4-up Silicone Mold (668-001) | |
| The prototype shown here represents an example of a
silicone mold used in the production process for Kenner's Micro
Collection toy line. After the mold is created from the original
sculpting it is used to cast hardcopies called 4-ups. This particular
Hoth Stormtrooper pose is designated by the unique product number 668-001. The first three digits indicate its presence in the
Hoth Generator Attack playset, while the last
three digits indicate the particular character/pose.
Pre-production collectors, like myself, often endeavor to assemble series highlighting each portion of the production process. A series of this nature offers insight into the path a toy travels from concept to final product.
