| What you see here, folks, is the pinnacle of pre-production series assembly. It simply doesn't get much better than
this in terms of completing a Micro Collection figure series! A number of ultra key pre-production stage are present, which trace
the Lando Micro figure from its earliest three-dimensional representation to the final production figure. The run includes in order
of creation:
wax sculpting,
silicone (RTV )mold,
unpainted 4-up hardcopy,
4-up hardcopy paintmaster, and series of 1:1 pieces.
This version of Lando Calrissian is designated as "733-005". The first three numbers in the code reference its inclusion in the Micro Collection Millenium Falcon, while the final three numbers correspond to the specific character/pose. Original wax sculptings and silicone molds, due to their relative scarcity and desirability, typically provide collectors with the most difficulty in assembling 4-up series. Assembly typically requires determination, active searching, and sometimes a little bit of luck. Steve was fortunate to acquire this series in its assembled state. It brings a smile to my face knowing a valuable series, such as this one, changed hands, yet still remains intact. |
