| A comprehensive collection of proof cards for a single character is a difficult goal to achieve; there always seems to be one particular card--an original Star Wars, or a Power of the Force proof--that is dang near impossible to find, and which stands in the way of completing the set. In light of such difficulty, what Rob has accomplished above with the IG-88 character has got to be considered fairly impressive: he's managed to locate a pre-production example of every blister card on which IG-88 appeared, as well as a carded packaging sample of the figure on a Revenge of the Jedi proof card. Clockwise from left, the above pieces are as follows: ESB 31-Back proof, Revenge carded sample, Revenge proof, POTF proof (unproduced), and ROTJ 65-Back proof. |
