Original Wax Sculpting for Unproduced Micro Bib Fortuna: Bib Fortuna is one of several figures known to have been planned for the never produced Micro Collection Jabba playsets (other examples can be found in our gallery devoted to Micro Collection prototypes). This wax copy of the figure is a highly finished master, which may have been intended to be used to produce hardcopies and tooling masters. However, it's somewhat unclear whether or it is a wax cast, produced by pouring wax into a mold, an original sculpting, or a little bit of both. It was discovered by Gus several years ago but has since found its way into the hands of another collector. Unfortunately, no hardcopies have been found of if to date, which might indicate that more work was to be done on the sculpt. On the other hand, Kenner's sculptor might simply have never gotten around to sending it out to be reproduced in hardcopy form.
Here's the back. As you've no doubt noticed, considerable care went into the detailing of the robe and various acouterments of the character's costume. It should also be noted that the wax used to compose this piece is olive-colored, not pink as is the wax that is typically used by toy sculptors.
