Early Luke/Vader Conceptual Art: Here are some early McQuarrie paintings (perhaps considered for posters or book covers) featuring Luke and Vader. The one on the right is similar to the storyboard of Luke with a gas mask dueling Vader. In this one, Vader is twice Luke's height and more menacing.
