Although it bears some resemblance to the Mos Espa set, we were also struck by the resemblance to the other prequel location we toured, Ksar Hadada.

For instance, the way the buildings were whitewashed only halfway up the walls resembled what we'd seen at Hadada.

We have heard that Ksar Hadada locations will be used for the "slave quarters" in the prequel. Since these slave quarters would seem to figure prominently in the film (young Anakin and his mother are supposed to spend some time as Watto the junkman's slaves), it seems reasonable to speculate that the filming was done at more than one location.

Of course, none of us will know any of this for sure until 1999.
