Spaceships

In some ways, the space ship vehicles used in Star Wars really epitomize the saga for many people. Over the years, they managed to introduce a wide range of cool-looking ships in the three pictures, and just about every model used on screen was present at the San Francisco exhibit.

The X-Wing...the versatile fighter used in all of the Star Wars movies. Luke flies an X-Wing in each of the films. Each X-Wing is labelled on the wings to indicate the pilot. For instance, Red 5 has 5 marks on each of the wings.

Y-Wings manage to have a strong presence in the Star Wars movies. Even Leia flies one in Splinter of the Mind's Eye.

This B-Wing model is the same scale as the other rebel fighters. In the Rebel's armada, the B-Wing is suppose to have the most firepower.

What struck me about seeing this A-Wing model is how closely it resembles the Kenner toy.

The other side of the A-Wing shows some battle damage received during the Battle of Endor.
