Droids

The next room is the Droid Room with some of the most significant droids from the Star Wars films. Of course, the first ones in view are C-3P0 and R2-D2.

Notice the wiring around C-3P0's torso in the photo above. From the closeup view, one can see that it's a suit with wire decorations on front, but on screen it appears like the true wiring on a robot. The entire costume is polished as in the Rebel ceremony scene at the end of A New Hope.

We couldn't show you C-3P0 without showing a closeup of the legs. As expected, his right leg is silver.

Many R2-D2's were made for the Star Wars films. Some were remote control, others allow Kenny Baker to sit inside for closeups, and some had special features. This one appears to be one of the remote control R2's. Up close and in person, one can easily notice paint and sticker artifacts that would never be noticeable on screen.
