| Kenner's prepack program sold store displays that shipped filled with product. In this way, retail outlets that lacked dedicated toy fixtures could easily market Kenner Star Wars toys to their customers.
This 1981 prepack display was dedicated to action figures. While previous Kenner prepack displays utilized wire racks, this unit was constructed almost entirely of cardboard, a lighter and less expensive material. This design was later used for the ROTJ action figure prepack. In fact, some of the ROTJ headers that exist are simply ESB versions with a ROTJ sticker placed over the outdated logo. |
