| Luke's X-Wing Ladder | |
| The Rebel ships in the Star Wars Original Trilogy have distinct yellow (and sometimes orange) ladders for the pilots to board. This ladder is screen-matched to the Dagobah scenes in Empire Strikes Back (and my have been used elsewhere in the film). One of my favorite moments in that movie is Luke's conversation with Ben and Yoda as he leaves Dagobah. The ladder is featured prominently in that scene, and there are quite a few artifacts on the ladder to match to the screen image: paint patterns, scratches, etc. The ladder was saved by a crew member for everyday use following the movie. It is now displayed in our living room, which gets many questions from visitors about why there's a ladder in our living room! |
