| Space Sword Unlicensed Lightsaber (Toy Box) | |
| Did the Space Sword, produced by Toy Box, Inc., qualify as a Star Wars knockoff? I'm honestly not sure. It didn't look like a lightsaber, but it was sort of marketed as one. It didn't light up, but it glowed in the dark.
Advertising suggests it was available by 1978 and was often sold beside official Star Wars product. American and Canadian packaging variants are known to exist. As detailed over at Plaid Stallions, a matching shield was also sold. Now, that definitely didn't evoke Star Wars. For more information, see here. |
