| Early Bird Certificate Package Pole Sign Store Display | |
| Significantly rarer than the more familiar bin-and-header combination used to market the Early Bird Certificate Package, this pole display was shipped to stores desiring a splashier means of marketing one of Kenner's earliest Star Wars products.
The display consisted of two graphical components: a large elucidation of the Early Bird offer and a smaller announcement that "Star Wars is Here." These components were intended to be folded into two-sided dimensional signs, each with about an inch of empty space separating its two sides. Through this empty space a cardboard tube, or pole, could be inserted, thereby uniting the two signs. You can get a sense of how the entire thing was intended to look by referencing the internal Kenner marketing shot featured above. As you can probably tell, the "Star Wars is Here" component was designed to slide into slots cut into the Early Bird component, lending the entire thing a nicely integrated visual quality. The instructions packaged with the display, also featured above, provide additional information. Among other things, it shows how the display could be hung from the ceiling rather than mounted on the included pole. As of 2022, fewer than a dozen examples of this display are known to exist.
