Original Wax Sculpt for Bondo Action Figure | |
According to his coin, Bondo was the jovial chieftain of the wandering Jinda tribe. Okay, coin, if you say so.
Of all the figures created for the Ewoks line, Bondo is my favorite. He's just so weird. Weird in a jovial chieftain-y way. Above you see the original wax sculpt for the figure, which -- unusually -- includes the larger portion of its club accessory. Interestingly, the legs are hung on a pin that is threaded right through the lower portion of the figure; this allows them to move freely below the figure's tunic. I believe Morag was crafted in the same way. The greenish tint you see affixed to portions of the figure is the remnant of mold release. |
