Acetate Sculpt for Death Squad Commander Action Figure | |
This is the original sculpted artwork for the Death Squad Commander action figure, carved from acetate material rather than the wax used for the majority of vintage Kenner action figures. Although wax is a more forgiving material for fixing errors or modifying elements, acetate yields a high level of sharp detail under the hands of an experienced craftsman. Ron Salvatore does a nice write-up on the process used by Bill Lemon, a longtime toy industry professional contracted by Kenner for several Star Wars figures. |
