| Rumph Obi-Wan Kenobi Mug Sculpt | |
| This is Jim Rumph's original hand-made clay sculpture from 1977 of Obi-Wan Kenobi's face for the California Originals / Mind Circus Star Wars mug. As you would expect, the sculpt shows a lot more detail than the actual mug and was done in a slightly larger scale. You can see brush and carving strokes and even Jim's fingerprints on the back. After a mold was taken of this clay sculpt, it was signed, put in a kiln to harden it, then stained for effect. Jim gave this sculpture to his parents as a gift since they helped finance the samples and production for the Star Wars license. This was obtained directly from the Rumph estate. |
