VSD French Magazine October 1977 | |
VSD is a famous French weekly news, celebrity and leisure magazine whose acronym stands for 'Vendredi-Samedi-Dimanche' – from the first letters of 'Friday-Saturday-Sunday'. On October 20th 1977, its cover featured a fantastic artwork from renowned French artist Jean Giraud aka Moebius, which was reused on Topps collecting cards. Inside, an article discussed about Star Wars, Jules Verne novels, and the 'world of tomorrow'. The article also featured C-3PO in a 2-frame comic from Moebius. It is an iconic magazine among collectors, and also very difficult to find when considering that people usually get rid of newspapers and magazines, and that Star Wars was not yet acclaimed back then. |
