While many collectors are familiar with the idea that action figures go through various stages before hitting store shelves, most overlook the fact that almost every single Star Wars product, vintage or modern, goes through these same basic stages of production. This oversight is perhaps due to the fact that preproduction material related to non-toys rarely turn up, which makes this example a real treat. Personally, I always love seeing pieces like this, since they remind us how complicated everything we use on a daily basis really is and how much work goes into the products we take for granted.
