| ROTJ Logos French Shelf Talker | |
| Featured here is a French ‘Retour du Jedi’ Meccano shelf-talker produced to promote the Star Wars Return of the Jedi action figure line on store shelves from 1983 to 1984. This particular shelf-talker was licensed from Palitoy, and designed exactly like for UK with a large Return of the Jedi logo in the center and two small logos on each side. It differs slightly from its Kenner counterpart which featured a larger logo and only one small logo around. This kind of promotional material was available for free to retailers with their merchandise orders, but generally speaking, there were very few store displays produced for the Star Wars products in France (like this Meccano store display among a handful of other items). So it’s always a treat when such an elusive item surface. |
