Unlicensed Ceramic Round Mugs | |
I've decided to call this set of mugs "round" mugs because they have a somewhat bulbous shape. Or at least I think they're a set -- they all look somewhat similar, at any rate.
At the top of the page is Chewbacca, depicted in full sasquatch mode.
Here you see the Vader, which unlike the others has the handle at the back of the head rather than the side. Maybe that's an indicator that it doesn't belong with the others? Let's agree not to be nitpickers, shall we?
C-3PO is my favorite. He looks like he's blown up due to an allergic reaction. And the squiggly lines used to mark his droid details contribute to the effect: it's as though his entire head is trembling as it nears the final bursting point.
The Obi-Wan mug is a pretty nice representation of the character. Obviously, this one is "white ware," meaning it was never painted and fired. Check out our special feature on unlicensed ceramics here. |
