| Pictured here is the 2-1B figure reissue on Return of the Jedi 45-back card as released in France in 1983 by french licensee MECCANO.
This character was first introduced in 1982 during the Empire Strikes Back era, which were sold packaged in the famous typical French square cards. Return of the Jedi 45-back cards are pretty scarce to find since they were released during a very short timeframe, quickly upgraded to 65-back cards, just before Trilogo took over European lines. 21B on Meccano ROTJ card is rarer than other characters of the ROTJ series, as a few other ESB-released figures. That’s because it was not reissued on ROTJ 65-back which focused on the new figures from the movie, and only a lesser selection of previously available toys. |
