Lando Calrissian Painted First Shot | |
The first shot stage occurs fairly late in the overall process of bringing an action figure from concept to physical machine injected toy. While differences might not be as discernible at first glance, they often jump out upon closer inspection. This Lando first shot contains a few of those less obvious differences. First, it completely lacks copyright/country of origin information. Secondly, it features the number "2" (this one's pretty obvious!) scrawled onto the figure's back. This numerical designation likely denoted it as a specific example amongst a large grouping. Numbers like this are commonly seen on engineering pilots as well.
The final image shows the painted first shot displayed along side the original wax sculpting for the action figure's head. More images and information about the sculpting may be seen in the entry located here. |
