French QUICK Dark Vador burger display
FRANCE: From January 31 to March 5 2012, French fast food chain QUICK ran a large culinary promotion combined to the Episode I 3d release in theaters, in offering different burgers to taste and an even larger range of associated products and promotion material.

Two different burgers were available: JEDI burger (mustard force) and DARK burger (pepper force), then, the ultimate DARK VADOR burger (spicy) on the last days, which was a first-time ever black bread and was limited to 250 burgers per restaurant.

Among with this burgers, 10 products were released for boys and girls meals, as well as several products for teenagers (pins, buttons etc…).

QUICK also developed a very wide range of promotional material: large displays, placemats, staff shirts, specific burger boxes, posters, outdoor banners… Promotional material was truly difficult to get because employees would keep them, or managers had to return specific items to the headquarters in order to be destroyed.

Here is one of these large cardboard displays, I got it especially for Duncan, and believe me when I say it was hours of negotiation with managers from different restaurant in order to secure one. It’s huge 32x32 inches (80x80 cm) and it’s the most-sought being associated to the ultimate burger.
