Production-Made Gamorrean Guard Tusks/Horns
The realm of movie prop collecting sometimes dwarfs the realm of toy prototype collecting in terms of value, terminology, and complexity. Regardless, it's a fascinating and challenging collecting niche to participate in. "Production-made" items, like the Gamorrean guard tusks and horns featured in this entry (Gamorrean Guard 3 3/4" action figure shown for size reference), are props or prop pieces made during the production of a given film with the intent to be used. This designation differs greatly from the term "screen used", which designates an item was actually used in the film, or "screen matched", which designates a film used prop that can be precisely matched on screen using specific markings or characteristics. Screen used and screen matched items represent the cream of the crop and their value matches up with their desirability and importance.

As stated earlier, these particular teeth/horns were production-made by an individual associated with the Return of the Jedi film, but they remain as unfinished castings having never made their way onto a Gamorrean Guard mask. It's possible that a few casting flaws, voids that resulted from air bubbles introduced into the mold during casting, made them less ideal for final use. Regardless, they are interesting production-made artifacts from Return of the Jedi and their hand-cast nature, detail, and urethane-like composition appeal to me.
