Empire Strikes Back 45-Back Hammerhead
This is the first release of Hammerhead on a Spanish PBP 45-back cardback. The main difference with previous spanish cardbacks is the definitive exclusion of the Poch logo. In this particular case the bubble is quite unique, being placed upside down to hold the figures head on top.

Cantina Aliens were not released in Spain until this wave was launched in the autumn of 1981. Two other types of cardbacks were distributed earlier that same year before this specific cardback came out, only to be replaced in 1983 by El Retorno del Jedi 65-back cards. This was therefore the longest-lasting Spanish ESB cardback of all three.

Spanish EL IMPERIO CONTRAATACA figures are much rarer and are found in much shorter numbers than most of the figures released by other international Kenner licensees.

The cardback is exactly the same used by other Kenner licensees. The main difference is the inclusion the 1 FIGURA GRATIS promotion on front and back. The text details the offer whereby consumers could obtain Bossk or Dengar, by sending 5 figure name plates removed from the cards and sending them to PBP headquarters in Barcelona, Spain.

Also featured below is the 45-backing card.
