| Meccano ROTJ 45 and 65-backs YODAs | |
| In this Archive entry, you get 2 Yodas at once! These cards are the French Meccano releases of Yoda on Return of the Jedi (Le Retour du Jedi) cards.
Meccano ROTJ cards are extremely difficult to find, even for most ROTJ wave figures, even more for SW and ESB re-issues, and even even more for the first wave on 45-backs cards ; some previously released figures were only re-issued on 45-backs cards making them nearly impossible to find. The card on the left is a 45-back card, it features a catalog reference number on the upper left corner and [most of the time] a meccano square-card bubble (double elevation bubble on this item). The card on the right is a 65-back card, luckily, the factory tape was not applied (tape was used to prevent bubbles from falling off because of weak bubble seals). What more can be said... Impressive! Also note that the Archive also features a (Meccano ROTJ Yoda) that was packaged around 1986 using the famous 'Trilogo miscard shaped bubble', which is technically not a 'true' meccano card as sold at retail in 1983. |
