Pepperidge Farm Cookie Tooling Masters | |
This is the complete set of 15 hard copy tooling masters from the Pepperidge Farm Star Wars cookies from the early 1980's. The original sculpts were used to create these tooling masters, one for each cookie in actual scale. These tooling masters were used as a pattern for the brass molds that struck the actual cookies sold to the public. Although there were several sets of brass molds for the cookies, this is the only set of hard copy tooling masters made for the series.
The numbers in each corner of the tooling master represent a code. The upper left hand corner indicates the quantity to roll, and lower left hand corner is the roll diameter. The upper right shows the die number, and lower right is the pattern number. These hard copies have a slot on the back, some fitted with plastic slots and others with a metal nut. The side view shows the multiple layers of materials, similar to the construction of some of the Kenner prototypes. |
