| Grand Moff Tarkin Trousers | |
| These are the original trousers worn by Peter Cushing as Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars: A New Hope. The costume was made by Bermans + Nathans who supplied many of the costumes for the Star Wars original trilogy. The Bermans and Nathans tag on the inside belt reads: "Peter Cushing Star Wars 443". Note the wear around the knees from the boots rubbing against the fabric. The boots were also uncomfortable for the actors that for close up shots above the knees, Peter Cushing actually took the boots off to wear fuzzy slippers.
This brilliant custom frame was constructed by Andy Goulding, a master in building custom-made displays for props and costumes. Andy picked complementary matting and frame colors and used various shots of Peter Cushing from the film wearing this costume piece. The frame is designed with an interlocking door to give access to the piece itself. |
