| Celebration Europe Luke Skywalker Medallion Molds | |
| This is the original rubber mold to the Luke Skywalker medallion offered as a giveaway item at the Celebration Europe collector panels. In order to finance the CE medallion giveaways, different collectors sponsored individual medallions (their names appearing on back), and one of the perks of sponsorship was getting to keep any prototypes associated with that medallion. Since I sponsored the Luke medallion, I got the 6-cavity mold for Luke.
The mold is filled with a "production models" of the medallion and both pieces of the mold form the front and back of the medallions. From the closeup images, one can see the incredible detail offered in the mold. Each of these medallions were designed by Mattias Rendahl in the style of the original Power of the Force coins by Kenner except to a large scale. |
