| Celebration IV Luke Skywalker Medallion Mold Test Samples | |
| These are test samples of the Luke Skywalker medallion offered as a giveaway item at the Celebration IV collector panels. In order to finance the CIV medallion giveaways, different collectors sponsored individual medallions (their names appearing on back), and one of the perks of sponsorship was getting to keep any prototypes associated with that medallion. Since I sponsored the Luke medallion, I got to keep the Luke test samples.
The first two images show the obverse and reverse of the Luke medallion shot in a shiny metal. These were made using a six-medallion tree in the 6-cavity molds. The last two images are of six unpolished medallions tested in the mold. These lack the fine finish of the regular medallion set. |
