Luke Skywalker (Hoth) Play-Doh Unpainted Hardcopy | |
Luke Skywalker (Hoth) represents one of several characters from Kenner's Hoth Action Play-Doh set. Star Wars fans were able to mold characters like Darth Vader, Hoth Stormtrooper, and others in a rainbow of colors using plastic Play-Doh molds. The prototype seen above, an unpainted hardcopy cast in light grey urethane, was cast using a silicone mold similar to the Yoda mold seen here.
Several casting flaws exist on both the front and back of the unpainted hardcopy; the results of trapped air pockets within the silicone mold. Regardless, it's a super nice hardcopy example.
The final image shows a number of unpainted Play-Doh hardcopies, which surfaced amongst other prototypes from the collection of an ex-Kenner employee in February, 2006. |
