Shown above is a beautiful example of IG-88's debut packaging in proof card form. The Star Wars Collectors Archive is fortunate to have a wide array of IG-88 proof cards available for collectors' viewing pleasure:
Notice the squared-off bottom corners of the proof and the difference in placement and shape between the hanger-holes of the two cards. These are two of the differing characteristics of production blisters and proof cards. Under close examination of an actual proof, the thin paper stock used for the printing and the matte quality of the card's back-side would also help to distinguish it from the production blister card. |
