The original Marvel comic series was one of the very first Star Wars publications, and the monthly comic ran uninterrupted for 107 comics before ceasing publication in the mid 1980's. This cover is from a relatively early comic a year after the release of the Return of the Jedi series. Few printing plates from the Marvel series, particularly cover plates, have surfaced. |
