| The ESB 48-Back proof card shown above
features Luke X-wing. The rounded bottom corners and absence of a punch area on proofs of
this nature have led collectors to sometimes further differentiate this style of proof card as
a "sample card", however I prefer the "production-like" designation coined by John Kellerman in his
book, Star Wars Vintage Action Figures, A Guide For Collectors.
The photo clearly shows how Marc has chosen to use an acrylic case to preserve the proof card's condition while at the same time providing an attractive method of display. |
