Revenge of the Jedi Ben Kenobi Cromalin
Photoart, cromalin, and proof card, all are familiar terms to the avid packaging prototype collector as they represent some of the most well known and necessary stages in the production process of toy packaging used at the time of Kenner's vintage Star Wars toy line. The Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi prototype shown above is classified as a cromalin. Unlike many proof cards, cromalins are typically one-sided, meaning printing of the cardback is absent on the reverse side.

A Revenge of the Jedi cromalin like this is particularly attractive since it's devoid of the printed "Nien Nunb Offer" found on die-cut Revenge of the Jedi 48-back proof cards. Occasionally 65-back Revenge of the Jedi offerless proof cards surface, like this Jawa and R2-D2 with Sensorcope, however these offerless 65-backs are much, much rarer than their 48-back printed offer counterparts.
