Return of the Jedi Leia Combat Poncho Cromalin
Photoart, cromalin, and proof card, all are familiar terms to the avid packaging prototype collector as they represent some of the most well known and necessary stages in the production process of toy packaging used at the time of Kenner's vintage Star Wars toy line. The Leia Combat Poncho prototype shown above is classified as a cromalin. Unlike many proof cards, cromalins are typically one-sided, meaning printing of the cardback is absent on the reverse side.

When Mattias compared this cromalin to the ROTJ 79-Back proof card for this character he noticed two distinct differences. The astericks next to the Kenner logo is absent from the cromalin, but present on the proof card. Additionally, the numerical information (0767-202-06)) on the card area where the bubble would attach is absent on the cromalin, yet present on the proof card.
