Power of the Force 92-Back Luke X-wing Proof Card (Uncut)

Proof cards are available to today's collector in a myriad of slightly different forms ranging from uncut sheets to individual cards. Power of the Force proof cards were printed on large sheets containing eight different blister cards, however the vast majority of these full sheets have been cleaved over time. The Luke X-wing proof card shown above was also once part of a larger sheet. The clearly visible white border and color registration bars set this proof card apart from a die-cut example. Uncut proof cards provide a slight challenge from my perspective when attempting to display a proof card series in a uniform fashion, however they certainly augment the breadth of such a series. Marc chose to display this proof card in an attractive holder, which provides a safe environment for the proof card and at the same time protects its condition. Other means for displaying and preserving proof cards include: standard frames (employing acid-free materials), top-loading acrylic sleeves, acrylic cases, and a myriad of others.
