Trilogo Lobot Carded Factory Sample
On July 7, 2006 K.R. Spencer announced an incredible find to vintage collectors by way of the discussion forums found on Rebelscum.com. The original thread may be viewed here. The astounding find consisting of factory samples from General Mills contained a vast number (approximately 70 pieces) of trilogo and ROTJ carded figures, boxed vehicles, and even diecast ships, many featuring adhesive sample stickers applied to the card fronts. The sample stickers range in size from small to large with some figures lacking any stickers whatsoever. While the stickers themselves represent the most unique characteristic of these carded figures, the superb card and bubble condition on many samples is equally noteworthy. It's utterly amazing that the former General Mills employee had the foresight to save this impressive collection and at the same time care for it all these years in a manner which preserved condition. Thankfully K.R. Spencer uncovered the incredible collection and as a result has enabled collectors all over the world to view these factory samples.

*Whoosh* Whoah! I think I just heard a plane flying from Canada to the UK! Must be that crazy Lobot-loving Randy Simpson making a trek across the pond to pay hommage this fine Lobot factory sample. Is it "Lobot Day" already? As the photo conveys, this example features two labels, one designating it as a "central office sample".
